Brief Bio: S. Lenoir Gillam is a professor in the Department of Counseling, Foundations, and Leadership at Columbus State University (CSU) in Columbus, Georgia. She began teaching at CSU in January, 1998. She received her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from The University of Georgia and has worked in school, community, and university settings. She is also an LPC and a licensed psychologist in Georgia and a nationally certified counselor. In addition, Dr. Gillam serves as Coordinator of the School Counseling Programs and as the Clinical Coordinator of the School Counseling Program. She also provides clinical services at CSU's Counseling Center.
Dr. Gillam served as the President of the Association for Specialists in Group Work in 2008-2009, a division of the American Counseling Association, and she has been named Fellow in this organization. Her research agenda and special interests include group work, supervision and training, multicultural issues, and school counseling. She regularly teaches Diagnosis in Counseling, Individual Analysis, Career Development Counseling, and School Counseling Services; and she supervises practicum and internship.
